NIGERIA // NEW RANGER piracy attack 105NM SW of Agbami – 15/12/2020

EVENT DESCRIPTION // On December 15^th, around 0335 UTC, approximately 105NM SW of Agbami FPSO, the Malta-flagged product tanker NEW RANGER (IMO: 9328326) was reportedly boarded by an unknown number of perpetrators. The incident is reported as ongoing and no further information is available at this time.

The NEW RANGER had been attacked and boarded twice just over a week prior on December 5^th and 6^th with each boarding resulting in the full crew mustering safely to the citadel.

The vessel is managed by Protank, Greece.
