TOGO // STELIOS K piracy hijack 40NM SSE of Lomé – 16/11/202

EVENT DESCRIPTION // On November 16th, around 0430 UTC, approximately 40NM SSE of Lomé, the Togo-flagged tanker STELIOS K (IMO: 8679209) stopped reporting. The vessel had left Athens (Greece) early October and was proceeding towards Lagos (Nigeria) when the incident occurred. Subsequent reports have confirmed that the vessel was indeed boarded and remains in control of the perpetrators as November 18^th.
