EVENT DESCRIPTION // On January 4th, around 0045 UTC, while in Pointe-Noire anchorage area the Cyprus-flagged container ship NILEDUTCH BREDA (IMO: 9612765) was boarded by three intruders. The AB on duty spotted the intruders on board the vessel, in the forecastle area, and raised the alarm prompting the crew to retreat into the citadel. The intruders escaped on a long wooden boat. The captain notified the port authorities who sent a team to search the vessel. After the search, the crew left the citadel and reported the disappearance of two mooring ropes. The crew is reported safe.
