SAO TOME
On November 7th, early AM hours approximately 50NM north of Sao Tomé a tanker was approached by 2 speedboats. Attacked tanker implemented evasive maneuvers, including the launch of flares against the assailants. Men onboard the speedboats opened fire against the tanker but appear to have been unsuccessful in further approaching the tanker.
Crew and vessel are now reported to be safe.
