TOGO // On November 4th, early AM hours a Greek-flagged tanker was successfully boarded in Lomé anchorage. Armed men engaged the Togolese Navy team who was onboard wounding one. Upon receiving the alert, Lomé port authorities and Togolese Navy dispatched two vessels to the location to provide assistance. Togolese Navy Vessel OTI arrived at the scene between 0400 – 0500 LT and another Togolese Naval vessel remained on the scene for several hours after the incident.
As a result of the action four crew members were successfully kidnapped.
